Hi, my name is Kriystauhl Fitchett, and I am running for House Representative 55B because I believe in a government that works for everyone and I care about fighting for a democracy that we can, once again, believe in.

A vote for me means you will send the most seasoned and experienced candidate with government experience to the House of Representatives to represent you. Not only have I worked for more than twenty years with leaders to pass good legislation, throughout my career I have worked to enforce that legislation and during session can ably defend or attest to how the legislation affects our community, schools and businesses.

As former Chair of the Burnsville Economic Development Commission, you’ve shared with me the needs of our community. You’ve expressed your fear of ICE in our community and the unjust apprehension our neighbors and the need for strong advocacy to stand up against unpopular legislation like raising taxes or rolling back MinnesotaCare for marginalized residents. You’ve expressed your concerns about affordability and the rising cost of groceries and the daily costs of living.

My credentials have served me well to do this work and they include an earned BA degree in political science (pre-law) and public policy with a minor in urban affairs from Wright State University, an MPA in public administration with an emphasis in government oversight, public policy and human resource law from Hamline University. I am also a certified PMP Project Manager and American Bar Association paralegal.

Our democracy is in immediate crisis, and we need legislators who already know how to go to the legislature to protect our children’s future, advocate for seniors so they can enjoy retirement, and fight for livable wages to ensure hard-working families can sustain.
