Hello! My name is Kriystauhl Fitchett and I am running for House Representative District 55B because I care deeply about the people of Burnsville and I am passionate about public service.

The call to work in legislation is not for the faint, it’s for the one who is determined and will endure without fail. As a former employee for the Minnesota legislature, I know and understand the legislative, executive and judicial branches of our government and the daily challenge of debate to vote on bills and well thought out plans to find common ground for legislation that will affect the lives of Minnesota families.

I’m no stranger to public policy having gained experience both professionally and as a volunteer for more than fifteen years working together with elected officials to create policy and with the community to facilitate monthly information sessions, as a campaign manager and designated mayoral stand-in speaker for scheduled events.

As former Chair for the Burnsville Economic Development Commission, you’ve shared with me the needs of our community. You’ve expressed your concerns about affordability and the rising cost of groceries and the daily costs of living. You’ve expressed your fear of ICE in our community and the unjust apprehension our neighbors and the need for strong advocacy to stand up against unpopular legislation like raising taxes or rolling back MinnesotaCare for marginalized residents, and I am ready to go to work for you.

I believe when all people feel safe in our community and our human rights are protected, everyone has the ability to live peacefully and thrive together.
